Celiac Disease & Diabetes - Nutritional Considerations

In this webinar, expert dietitian Sharon Weston MS, RD, LDN, CSP, FAND will present on the nutritional management of patients with celiac disease and Type 1 diabetes. She will cover incidence, screening, building appropriate meals, and how to support patients as they navigate both conditions.

  • Understand the incidence of Type 1 Diabetes and Celiac Disease how to screen for both conditions, and the role of the dietitian as part of the multidisciplinary team
  • Understand how different macronutrients as well as ingredients impact blood glucose levels and glycemic control and discuss dietary strategies along with insulin management
  • Learn how to create appropriate meal plans for individuals with both Celiac Disease and Type 1 Diabetes, as well as additional ways to support these patients
