2. I arrived at the Dr. Schär Institute...

From the Nutrition Service department at Dr. Schär. I worked at the intersection between specialized knowledge in the world of nutritional medicine and the development of practical solutions applied to products. One of the key projects was the creation of the Dr. Schär Institute, an initiative that was born with the aim of exchanging up-to-date information between doctors and dietitians-nutritionists specializing in the field of gluten and cereal-related disorders (GCD).

The Dr. Schär Institute was created to provide rigorous and up-to-date information to healthcare professionals, supporting both the diagnosis and clinical management of patients. Since then, we have remained committed to reducing existing knowledge gaps and providing content based on scientific evidence, with the aim of improving the quality of nutritional advice and care in the context of gluten-free diets.

3. My area of responsibility there is...

My role as Global Director of Nutrition Services is very broad, but one of the tasks I enjoy most is moderating roundtable discussions and spending time preparing and reading specialized articles and current scientific publications on gluten-related disorders (GRD). I am also passionate about interacting with experts from different disciplines-from gastroenterology and general medicine to nutrition, dietetics, and food technology-especially when we collaborate on preparing seminars, conferences, and presentations at congresses.

4. One of my highlights was...

One of the projects I was most excited about was the development and launch of the 'Celiac Disease and Gluten-Free Diet' advisory folder. The feedback we received confirmed that there is a great need for information on the gluten-free diet, even among professionals. That's why we decided to expand the project and start translating the folder into other languages. Thanks to the excellent reception, this work became one of the most rewarding moments of my job.

However, for me, the real highlights are the Dr. Schär Institute's presentations at major international conferences, especially the International Celiac Disease Symposium, which is held every two years in a different country. Being there, receiving positive feedback, and seeing our global network of doctors and nutritionists grow is truly inspiring.

And there are small pleasures too: every time the Dr. Schär Institute newsletter arrives in my inbox, I am happy to see that the editorial team has prepared new topics, recent studies, and conference summaries. It is valuable content, easy to read between meetings, and always teaches me something new.

5. I am very interested in the diagnosis and treatment of RD because...

As Global Director of Nutrition Service, one of my priorities is to actively represent Dr. Schär's mission, vision, and values, and make them tangible in every interaction with our stakeholders. A fundamental pillar of our identity is our commitment to people living with gluten-related disorders, accompanying them from diagnosis to the adoption of a gluten-free, balanced, and sustainable lifestyle in their daily lives.

What really motivates me is the positive feedback we receive: it confirms that our holistic approach is not only well received, but also generates real added value. Knowing that we are helping to improve the quality of life of so many people is undoubtedly one of the greatest rewards of my job.
